Job Description:
We are currently seeking a contract, part time Pharmacist In Charge who is passionate about meeting the specific needs of patients. As PIC you will play a crucial role in formulating customized medications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards, as well as training and mentoring Technicians and Pharmacists.
This role requires both a Texas and Kentucky pharmacist license.
Hours:
Looking for an individual to support on a part time basis, about 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Compounding Medications: Prepare compounded medications following established formulas and protocols to meet individual patient requirements.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure the accuracy, potency, and stability of compounded medications.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay current on compounding regulations and standards, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
Patient Consultation: Collaborate with healthcare providers and offer consultation to patients on compounded medications, dosage forms, and potential side effects.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of compounded medications, ingredients, and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with other pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to ensure seamless integration of compounding services within the overall pharmacy workflow.
Qualifications
PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in Texas AND Kentucky.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of compounding equipment and techniques.
