as a Laboratory Metrology Technician (Part-Time). Eurofins is a global leader in analytical testing, serving clients across food, environment, pharmaceutical and cosmetics.
Job Overview Role to support laboratory metrology processes, maintain CLIA, CAP and NYDOH accreditation, perform instrument maintenance, calibration, preventive maintenance and documentation.
Responsibilities
Perform instrument maintenance for plate readers, washers, liquid handling equipment, front end automation, centrifuges, balances.
Document cleaning of laboratory areas and equipment.
Maintain cleaning and periodic maintenance on freezers, refrigerators, cryostorage.
Record instrument calibration activities for pipettes, temperature probes.
Respond to environmental alerts and document actions.
Document instrument power cycles/UPS maintenance.
Manage inventory of pipettes and supply replacements.
Maintain records in equipment tracking software.
Assist with internal or external audit documentation as requested.
Support development of system and process improvements.
Adhere to quality, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Communicate with laboratory associates to complete daily activities efficiently.
Represent department and the organization favorably at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
GED or high school diploma (Level I).
BA/BS in biological, physical, chemical or clinical laboratory science preferred (Level II).
Minimum 2 years experience in a regulated laboratory (CAP/CLIA and/or GxP) as Laboratory Quality Tech I or similar (Level II).
Knowledge of clinical laboratory environment preferred.
Ability to initiate tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in a laboratory setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Detail‑oriented documentation skills.
Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a quality team.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proactive self‑directed decision making.
Physical Requirements
Stand for extended periods up to 4 hours.
Lift up to 50 pounds (push/pull heavy loads may exceed 100 pounds).
Operate personal computer for extended periods up to 4 hours.
Perform repetitive hand, arm, shoulder movements.
Maintain mental acuity for data analysis.
Benefits & Working Hours
Part‑time schedule: Thursday‑Saturday 7:00‑11:00 pm, Sunday 3:00‑11:30 pm.
Overtime as needed.
