Job Description Other duties as assigned. Leads the pharmacy’s response to drug recalls and regulatory alerts, ensuring timely removal, documentation, and communication. Proactively identifies supply alternatives and coordinates with pharmacy leadership to mitigate disruptions. Supports audit readiness and compliance with DEA, FDA, and Board of Pharmacy requirements. Participates in quality improvement efforts, workflow audits, and performance monitoring. Performs monthly inspections of assigned medication storage areas, reconciles discrepancies, and ensures compliance with inventory standards, safety protocols, and documentation requirements. Assists with setup and maintenance of 340B wholesaler accounts for contracted retail pharmacies. Collaborates with corporate 340B teams and consultants to optimize purchasing efficiency and ensure program compliance. Serves as a liaison between pharmacists, pharmacy leadership, and external suppliers to coordinate inventory needs, resolve procurement challenges, and support contract compliance. Participates in cross‑functional initiatives to improve supply chain performance. Completes monthly financial reports using data from multiple vendors. Reconciles daily invoices, validates pricing, and ensures accurate general ledger coding for cost centers and expense accounts. Supports budget tracking and purchasing analytics. Oversees accurate and compliant interdepartmental medication and supply transfers to support continuity of care across all patient service areas and departments. Oversees daily medication purchasing activities to maintain appropriate par levels across all pharmacy service areas. Prioritizes procurement tasks based on urgency, formulary standards, clinical needs, and supply chain conditions. Adjusts purchasing strategies to support continuity of care and operational efficiency. Orders medications to maintain appropriate par levels across all pharmacy service areas. Oversees purchasing operations using primary, secondary, and contract supplier platforms, and adapts procurement strategies based on usage trends, clinical priorities, and supply chain conditions. Maintains proficiency in vendor‑specific tools and adapts to evolving procurement technologies. Continuously refines workflows to support purchasing efficiency and inventory accuracy. Organizes and prioritizes purchasing‑related work assignments, including order placement, invoice reconciliation, and vendor communication. Ensures timely execution of procurement tasks and adapts workflows to meet evolving operational demands and departmental goals. Maintains purchasing documentation, invoices, and audit trails in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Supports audit readiness and ensures compliance with purchasing policies, DEA requirements, and accreditation standards. Serves as the primary liaison with wholesalers and suppliers to resolve backorders, expedite open orders, and maintain contract integrity. Independently manages accurate medication inventory operations, including ordering and stocking product, receiving and rotating stock, removing expired medications, and guaranteeing perpetual inventory counts. Monitors and ensures proper medication storage, including cold chain custody, quarantine areas for expired medications, and overall inventory integrity. Conducts advanced inventory management including controlled substance audits, reconciliation, and diversion prevention. Supports formulary management and contributes to inventory optimization strategies.

Pay Range $20.97 - $38.99
