Opening Compensation:
Starting hourly rate of $27.05
Summary Performs patient care, health teaching and counseling in an oncology setting, under supervision of a Registered Nurse or other licensed provider; assists in individualizing patient care and supports adaptation to disease process; performs routine nursing care procedures, screens, venipuncture, monitors plateletpheresis and whole blood donor procedures; maintains donor and product safety in compliance with State and Federal regulations; promotes professional growth through educational programs, literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience License or permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York. Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school’s LPN program.
Preferred Qualifications Prior LPN experience working on a nursing unit and/or experience as a Patient Care Technician in an inpatient nursing unit.
