Join CHRISTUS Health as a Registered Nurse on our A5 27‑bed medical‑surgical telemetry unit. We provide routine and complex care to patients with medical and cardiac conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure. Responsibilities
Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side‑effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Assess learning needs; provide education to patients, families, and caregivers; identify issues and resources.
Job Requirements
Education/Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
BLS required.
RN license in state of employment or compact.
ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
EKG required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
