CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: HVAC JR. MECHANIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts.
Assist in the servicing of products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Use a variety of hand‑tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customers’ location.
Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Prepare for on‑site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on‑site work, as necessary.
Inspect vehicles by checking vehicle condition and cleanliness.
Maintain vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service.
Inspect equipment for signs of wear and notify customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
Represent the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Determine parts to order for repairs and ensure timeliness of need.
Document work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration, and maintaining files.
Record parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources.
Turn in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
Keep current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair.
Read and interpret product specifications.
Provide technical support to customers.
Have a strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
Be flexible to work overtime/weekends as necessary.
Travel regularly, including some overnight travel, as needed.
