Job Summary
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the Medical ICU, following the scope and standards of practice for the state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and models the organization’s vision and mission to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
What you will do in this role:
Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology for complete understanding.
Teach patients, families, and caregivers about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes, preparing them for future self‑management.
Manage evidence‑based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
Qualifications you will need:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN) or Graduate Nurse (GN) credential.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR for Healthcare Providers) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree.
