Join Fusion Medical Staffing, a leader in providing travel positions, to work as a Travel IR Tech in Saint‑Louis, Missouri. This 13‑week assignment begins 01/12/2026, offers competitive pay including a tax‑free stipend, and covers 40 hours per week (8‑hour shifts).
Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a high‑acuity IR lab. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to patient care while enjoying day‑one benefits and recruiter support.
Required Qualifications
One year recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid radiologic technologist license in the state
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
Additional certifications or licenses as required
Essential Work Functions
Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures
Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound)
Assist physicians in sterile procedures, maintain sterile field
Monitor and document patient vitals and procedural details
Administer contrast media and monitor for reactions
Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment
Manage and restock procedural supplies
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
Adhere to hospital safety and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication
Proficiency in English language reading, writing, and verbal communication
Computer literacy and ability to understand written instructions
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend
Ability to work with diverse personnel, present a positive attitude
Fine manipulation skills to support procedures
Resilience under pressure, ability to handle irregular schedules
Visual acuity and effective communication
