Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Surgical Unit. Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Responsibilities
Primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Work closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional postoperative care. Occasionally provide care to patients with general medical needs. License and Certification
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Education
RN-Associate's Degree, or RN-Bachelor's Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master's Degree Inpatient Surgical Unit
Sentara CarePlex Hospital is seeking motivated, compassionate, and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our fast-paced Inpatient Surgical Unit, primarily serving the CarePlex postoperative patient population. Our unit experiences a quick turnover of patients and provides care for patients with complex needs across a wide range of surgical specialties, including: Vascular Neurosurgery General Surgery Orthopedic Podiatric Colorectal Bariatric Plastic Gynecologic Urologic In this role, you will work closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional postoperative care. In addition to postoperative care, we occasionally provide care to patients with general medical needs.
