At LabCorp we help people live happy and healthy lives. As a Float Phlebotomist, you’ll gain experience working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics to provide vital health information.
Float Phlebotomist Responsibilities
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to all patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or previous phlebotomy experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
Work Schedule Monday – Friday; scheduled hours vary between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm with rotating Saturdays.
Float Incentive Additional $1.00 /hr plus mileage reimbursement.
