Patient Service Rep PCC

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Patient Services Professional, you will be the welcoming voice and central administrative support, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations through diverse engagements. You will expertly manage phone customer service, distribute communications, and handle patient information including demographics, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. Additionally, you will process referrals, authorizations, pre-registrations, and other clerical tasks, adapting to clinic needs while responsibly handling sensitive data.
Core Responsibilities
Schedule and register patient appointments and provide information for other requests (e.g., addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation).
Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls in a professional manner; direct patient access by scheduling and canceling appointments for multiple providers.
Utilize phone scripts, clinical decision trees, and scheduling criteria following department guidelines; determine appointment type and urgency.
Update patients on status of referrals or authorizations.
Communicate with patients and internal/external ordering physician offices regarding complex exam preparations, including pre-procedure laboratory test requirements.
Send accurate and complete communication to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Qualifications
High School GED or equivalent.
Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications, upon hire.

Pay Range $16.42 - $23.19 per hour
