Licensed Practical Nurse - On-Call Bridgeway Community Health Inpatient medically managed withdrawal setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administers medications and performs treatments and procedures under direction of a nurse practitioner or physician.

Completes accurate and thorough medical documentation, including client medical charts, medication records, observations, and databases.

Conducts nursing assessments for all inpatient clients and documents findings.

Prepares and dispenses or provides medications or treatments, evaluating side effects and interactions.

Maintains prescription records and complies with federal, state, and program requirements.

Coordinates client appointments with physicians.

Educates clients on disease processes and refers to other medical agencies as needed.

Maintains records of nursing services and compiles requested reports.

Prepares and labels specimens, and maintains clinic equipment and supplies.

Charts all clients seen for medical support.

Participates in discharge planning for clients’ ongoing medical needs.

Conducts TB skin testing on all inpatient clients over 30 days and annually for all inpatients and staff.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Attends staff meetings and works as a team member to identify and implement quality service improvements.

Maintains an organized and clean work environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Graduation from a state‑accredited School of Nursing program.

A current and unencumbered license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Oregon at the time of appointment.

One (1) year of Licensed Practical Nursing experience highly preferred; new graduates of an accredited nursing program may be considered.

Or any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Comprehensive knowledge and skill in current nursing practice.

Ability to apply nursing knowledge and principles underlying nursing service administration.

Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of individuals in medical treatments and maintain confidential records.

Ability to accept supervision and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

Skilled in English usage and basic mathematics.

Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers and the public.

Qualified candidate must pass a criminal background check.

Wage will depend on experience and credentials.

Additional stipend available for Spanish/English bilingual employees.
