TravelNurseSource, working with Fusion Medical Staffing, seeks a qualified CVICU RN for a 13‑week assignment in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Job Summary The ICU Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, critical care to patients in the ICU, including assessment, monitoring, advanced life‑support management, communication with teams, and patient/family education.
Essential Work Functions
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes
Administer complex medications and treatments per critical‑care protocols
Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment
Ensure patient safety and comfort, addressing physical and emotional needs
Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying providers of status changes
Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, CVP, PAC)
Document all assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely
Provide education to patients and families on ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care
Maintain proficiency in critical‑care procedures and technologies through ongoing education
Adhere to infection‑control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients
Engage in quality‑improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency
Perform other duties as assigned within scope
Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
Preferred Qualifications
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
TNCC, NIHSS certification
Other certifications or licenses may be required
Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
Proficient in reading and writing English and following written and verbal instructions
Proficient PC skills
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel with a positive attitude
Fine‑motor skills for procedures and equipment handling
Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain concentration
Visual acuity and effective communication
