Compensation & Sign‑On Bonus You may receive a $3,000 Sign On Bonus, paid in three installments: one third within the first 30 days, a second payment at six months, and the final payment one year following your start date. The bonus is subject to applicable taxes and is not available to per‑diem employees or to internal BILH employees who have been employed by a BILH entity within the last 12 months.

Full‑time status is considered for schedules of 30+ hours per week; part‑time status is 20–29 hours per week.

Schedule The position includes occasional weekend shifts and participation in on‑call and holiday coverage as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures (abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and select vascular exams).

Ensure high‑quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Interact daily with patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff to coordinate care and communicate findings.

Maintain equipment and follow proper protocols for ultrasound operations and infection control.

Perform routine clerical duties, answer phones, schedule patients, order supplies, distribute results, keep the work area clean, and make entries in the computer.

Review charts, select appropriate equipment and transducers for tests as ordered, interview patients, obtain necessary information, explain procedures, allay apprehensions, and position the patient appropriately.

Record images on PACS and provide images on film and paper when needed. Provide preliminary interpretation and may convey preliminary interpretation to the requesting physician after discussion with a radiologist.

Detect pathology and other factors (follow‑up, changes of shape, etc.) and determine images appropriate for diagnostic purpose.

Perform high‑level disinfection of ultrasound transducers using systems such as the Trophon EPR system; annual refresher training is required.

Review and satisfy Computer‑Based Operational Requirements and associated software, including web‑based applications and Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access).

Required Qualifications

Vocational or technical training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required. Associate’s degree in Ultrasound preferred.

Registration in the National Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

0–1 years of related work experience required.

New hires must provide BLS certification through the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment.

ARDMS certification in Abdominal and/or OB/GYN specialties.

Experience with computer systems, including cloud‑based and Microsoft Office applications.

Work can largely be performed under established procedures; maintains oversight and sets priorities when needed.

Teamwork: can act as a team leader for small projects or work groups.

Customer service and professional courtesy to patients, families, staff and external customers.

Age‑based competencies covered: care for Young adults (16‑30 years), Middle age (30‑60 years), and Elderly (60+ years).

Physical ability: capable of lifting 100 lb of force occasionally or 50 lb continuously.

Pay Range $48.00 – $71.33 per hour (base hourly wage range). Actual compensation may exceed the base rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, and other applicable factors.
