SBIRT Therapist – Detroit Recovery Project Join our close‑knit outpatient team at Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) to provide compassionate, evidence‑based SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral) services for individuals with substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders.

Salary: $80,000 per year (grant‑funded, salaried‑exempt, no overtime).

Responsibilities:

Screen, assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for clients on the path to recovery.

Conduct intensive therapy with individuals, groups, and families.

Participate in treatment team conferences and collaborate with other professionals, family members, and referral sources.

Research and locate available help outlets based on clients’ needs; make in‑house and external referrals.

Follow up on services referred to, ensuring participation and program compliance.

Maintain flexible hours to meet the needs of clients and agency.

Enhance professional growth through educational programs, workshops, and current literature.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.

At least 2 years of experience in a mental health setting as a Therapist or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Valid Michigan therapist license (LMSW, LP, or LPC).

Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) CAADC certificate or MCBAP CAADC Development Plan (required for providing SUD services).

Valid and unrestricted Michigan driver’s license and insurance.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.

COVID‑19 vaccination requirement: strongly encouraged but not required.
