Traveling Dental Assistant – Great Expressions Dental Centers
We’re looking for an energetic and motivated traveling dental assistant to join our dynamic practice, uplifting patient care across our Middletown and Goshen locations. The role is fast‑paced, rewarding, and offers the opportunity to travel while contributing to excellent oral health outcomes.
What You’ll Do Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care; prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and maintain a clean environment; educate patients on oral‑hygiene and post‑treatment care; support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs; perform basic dental procedures under guidance; manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately.
Travel Requirements This position requires travel between our Middletown and Goshen practices.
Pay Information
Competitive base pay starting at $22/hr, with potential growth based on experience, plus an annual bonus.
Requirements
Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.
Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit).
Georgia: CPR certification, EFDA certification, and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.
Massachusetts: CPR certification, proof of formal training to expose X‑rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements per state regulations.
Michigan: Upon hiring, must provide evidence of X‑ray training certification. If you do not have certification at hiring, an 8‑week period is granted to submit it.
New Jersey: proof of X‑ray training.
New York: Not applicable.
Ohio: proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X‑rays).
Texas: CPR certification, TSBDE : TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
It Would Be Even Better If You Also Had
2+ years of previous dental‑assisting experience or relevant education.
Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills with a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in dental software and technology (plus).
