Day In The Life As a Front End Pharmacy Technician, you will perform order entry tasks and collaborate with team members in the medication dispensing process at our closed‑door pharmacy. The front‑end team focuses on entering orders, working with the pharmacist to ensure accuracy, and providing excellent customer service.
Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and required information/response
Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
Assisting in reviewing narcotic prescriptions in a timely manner
Providing dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other flagged items
Creating and maintaining accurate customer records
Required Qualifications
Certified/ licensed/ registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the long‑term care industry
PTCB National Certification
Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
Anticipated Weekly Hours 40
Time Type Full time
Pay Range $17.00 - $34.15 per hour
