Position Overview
This role is for a Clinical Research Psychologist (Psy.D.) who will specialize in the psychological and behavioral components of Phase I-IV Clinical Trials. The successful candidate must ensure the rigorous application of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards while executing standardized psychological assessments and/or interventions within the trial protocol.
Key Responsibilities
Protocol Execution & Fidelity
Standardized Assessment: Administer, score, and interpret psychological, behavioral, and cognitive outcome measures (e.g., HAM‑D, MINI, cognitive batteries) exactly as defined in the trial protocol and Schedule of Assessments.
Intervention Delivery: Deliver manualized, protocol‑specific psychological interventions (e.g., psychoeducation, cognitive training, behavioral therapy) to trial participants, ensuring strict fidelity to the treatment manual.
Rater Training and Certification: Actively participate in all rater training sessions, pass required certification tests (e.g., mock interviews, scale scoring competency exams), and maintain inter‑rater reliability throughout the duration of the trial.
Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate closely with the PI, Study Coordinators, Pharmacists, and Sponsors to ensure seamless integration of psychological procedures into the overall trial logistics.
Required Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
Licensure: Eligible for or hold current independent licensure as a Psychologist.
