Position Overview As a Clinical Learning Lab Technician at Galen College of Nursing, you will support and enhance the clinical learning lab experience for all learners in collaboration with program faculty to ensure quality and continuity in the achievement of course student learning outcomes (CSLOs) for all programs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the clinical learning laboratory equipment in preparation for classes and open labs.
Ensure that equipment is properly stored, cleaned, and in good working order.
Notify the Clinical Learning Laboratory Coordinator if equipment needs to be repaired or replaced.
Inventory laboratory supplies; stock supplies and ensure supplies are available to students, as needed.
General copying and material distribution as required; case studies, forms, etc.
Position Requirements
Education: High school diploma required.
Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
Special Qualifications: Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people; attention to detail and follow-through.
Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: Position requires critical thinking, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision making. Physical demands in classroom and office are minimal and considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying of supplies, files, and books (50 pounds minimum).
