Job Responsibilities
Work at dental offices, orthodontic practices, and dental surgery centers to assist with patient care during cleanings and oral surgery.
Educate patients about procedures, provide oral care instructions, order X-rays, and schedule routine appointments.
Set up dental exam tables, assist during cleanings and fillings, and hold dental instruments such as suction tips and mirrors.
Handle administrative duties: scheduling, stocking supplies, and billing patients or insurance providers.
Ensure patients feel comfortable and informed about treatments.
Work with and troubleshoot various dental, medical, scheduling, and organizational software.
Job Requirements
Active dental assistant certificate and radiology certification.
Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
