Palliative Medicine Physician - Faculty Position
NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island seeks a faculty Palliative Medicine Physician to join our well-established and rapidly growing palliative care program within the Division of Palliative Medicine and Bioethics. Our interdisciplinary team includes board-certified palliative care physicians, specialty-certified nurse practitioners and nurses, and specialty-certified social workers. The service provides more than 1,500 inpatient consultations annually.
The Division features a robust and expanding ambulatory palliative care practice, staffed by a dedicated interdisciplinary team, and supporting the institution’s Supportive Oncology, Supportive Pulmonary, and Supportive Cardiology programs. We are also home to an ACGME-accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program.
Position Responsibilities Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative medicine consultation to a clinically diverse patient population
Participate in program development to support continued expansion of palliative services
Contribute to education and mentorship as core faculty for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship and the Department of Medicine residency program
Teaching opportunities in the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine may be available
Qualifications Board-certified or board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and interdisciplinary collaboration
Commitment and potential to develop in academic, administrative, and program leadership roles

NYU-Langone Hospital – Long Island offers a competitive compensation package that includes: competitive base salary, productivity/quality incentives, CME, comprehensive medical/dental benefits, retirement savings plan (403b), malpractice coverage, and generous paid time off. Salary $245k to $255K - The salary listed is for full-time employment and actual salary may not fall within the listed salary; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
