The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, United States, 22904
The Tang Lab at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar in cellular and molecular biology, focusing on genome instability in cancers. The lab studies chromosome segregation defects (aneuploidy), chromothripsis, transcription–replication conflicts (TRCs), DNA‑protein crosslinks and their contribution to genomic instability. The goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms of complex genome rearrangements prevalent in cancers and congenital disorders, potentially leading to novel therapeutics.
