Position Details
Department:
Med Surg Unit
Shift:
6:30pm-7:00am, Full Time Nights, 36 hours a week, 72 hours per pay period
Facility:
Atrium Medical Center
Responsibilities
Collaborate with nurses and doctors to provide personalized care for patients.
Check vital signs, such as temperature, heartbeat, and breathing.
Help patients move around, get dressed, and eat.
Collect samples like urine.
Report any changes in a patient's condition to a nurse.
Perform walks, assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), weigh patients, and take vitals.
Education High school diploma or GED.
Training BLS CPR certificate required. Orientation will cover CPR training.
Experience
Finished STNA, CNA, or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training.
Helped care for patients in the past 5 years (e.g., taking temperature, bathing, or assisting with restroom use).
In nursing school with one clinical rotation completed.
Other Skills
Ability to multitask and remain courteous even when interrupted.
Computer proficiency.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
Bonus: Prior hospital experience.
