The Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is responsible for the regulatory, operational, and quality oversight of our Chandler-based 503A compounding pharmacy. The role ensures full compliance with Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations, FDA and DEA standards, and USP guidelines, while supporting both the wholesaling and manufacturing operations run out of the Chandler facility. Detailed responsibilities include leading regulatory inspections, managing licensure and accreditation, and overseeing quality assurance and control systems, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do: Regulatory & Pharmacy Compliance
Serve as the Pharmacist In Charge for Arizona and non-resident state licenses.
Maintain active pharmacist licensure in Arizona and other applicable states.
Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Develop and maintain SOPs and training programs aligned with state and federal regulations.
Lead and represent the pharmacy during inspections and audits (e.g., FDA, Arizona Board of Pharmacy).
File required reports for theft/loss with DEA, Arizona State Police, and Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Notify the Board of Pharmacy within 14 days of changes in PIC designation, staff pharmacist employment, or pharmacy hours.
Quality Assurance & Control
Oversee QA/QC functions including deviation investigations and product testing.
Implement and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure compliance with 503A-specific labeling requirements including patient-specific details, prescription numbers, and inactive ingredients.
Manage incoming material quality, sample reserve programs, and vendor qualification.
Provide quarterly quality metrics to site and corporate leadership.

What you’ve done
Licensed pharmacist in Arizona (required) and other applicable states.
Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy).
Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmacy.
Experience with regulatory inspections, batch disposition, and sterile compounding.
Strong understanding of USP

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
