Description
We are currently hiring for multiple positions, with training to take place at our Columbia, TN site. Team members will then transition to the new Lawrenceburg location once it opens.
This position is a full-time, permanent clinical position within Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Lawrenceburg, TN.
Responsibilities
Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and gains patient cooperation by providing explanations of exams and answering patient questions.
Is empathetic with patients during radiographic procedures by assisting with proper patient dressing/undressing, adequate positioning, moving equipment into specified positions, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors.
Performs quality diagnostic imaging studies using proper technical imaging factors.
Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, beam‑restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposures.
Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures, developing radiographs, observing radiographic results, and making necessary adjustments.
Contributes to team effort by willingness to work flexible hours and in other areas as necessary.
Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
Maintains CE credits by ARRT/State of Tennessee guidelines.
Requirements
Associate’s degree
State of Tennessee licensure
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration
Must be able to lift and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher
