3-12 Hour Shifts from 7p-7:30a; rotating weekends and holidays

Unit Overview Our Intensive Care Unit at Henry Ford Warren is a 29 bed, Level III Trauma center located in Warren. As the only ICU in the hospital, every shift brings variety and exposure to a wide range of critically ill patients. Nurses care for individuals with diagnoses such as cardiac arrest, trauma, stroke, sepsis, acute kidney injury, COPD exacerbation, GI bleeds, multi organ failure, overdoses etc. The unit also manages patients requiring advanced therapies and devices including CRRT, balloon pumps, Impella devices, Swan Ganz catheters. With a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, the ICU offers a supportive environment that values camaraderie, strong leadership, and hands on learning opportunities making an excellent place to grow as a critical care nurse.
General Summary Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Education/Experience Required
BSN preferred.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Certifications/Licenses Required Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
