We offer a variety of amenities geared towards providing residents with supreme excellence in quality and care.
To provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, as directed by the Director of Nursing Services or designee, ensuring the highest degree of quality care at all times.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse in good standing meeting all federal and state licensure requirements.
At least 18 years of age.
Readable and legible written communication in English.
Strong speaking and understanding of English.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, including procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long‑term care.
Positive attitude toward the elderly and sick.
Knowledge of care planning.
Prior experience working in a nursing home.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Administrative Functions
Ensure all nursing services personnel comply with Residents Rights.
Monitor Nursing Services to ensure resident rights and needs are met.
Promptly report to the Director of Nursing or Administrator and maintain written records of resident complaints and grievances.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
Ability to read and write in English.
Ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, and support agencies.
Ability to remain calm under stress.
Care Plan and Assessment Functions
Assist in developing comprehensive assessments and written care plans identifying nursing and medical problems for each resident.
Encourage residents and families to participate in care plan development and review.
Ensure all nursing services personnel are aware of care plans and that they guide daily nursing services.
Review nurses’ notes and monitor residents to ensure care plans are followed.
Planning and Inventory Functions
Recommend equipment and supply needs to the Director of Nursing Services.
Ensure adequate and cost‑effective inventory control procedures.
Inspect medications, supplies, and equipment regularly to maintain adequate levels and functionality.
Develop and implement safe procedures for authorized personnel to operate nursing services equipment.
Committee Functions
Attend and participate in various facility committees and meetings.
Provide written and/or oral reports for the Nursing Services Department.
Evaluate and implement recommendations pertaining to nursing services.
Safety and Sanitation Requirements
Monitor nursing personnel to ensure safety standards, fire and disaster, infection control, and all departmental policies are followed.
Ensure nursing personnel follow infection control procedures, especially during isolation precautions.
Develop and maintain procedures for reporting hazardous conditions or equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of nursing services work areas, stations, preparation rooms, treatment areas, and resident rooms.
