Base pay range:
$60.00/hr – $65.00/hr
About COBB Psychotherapy is a full-service group private practice in New York City. Our offices are conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights. We offer evening and weekend appointments, as well as virtual sessions. Our therapists tailor treatments to meet the specific needs of adults, couples, adolescents, and children— we also facilitate groups and see families when appropriate. At COBB, each therapist is unique, but we operate collectively as a practice that supports one another. We strive to give our therapists the autonomy to use an individualized approach that best fits their clients. We are therapist-centric, where community and culture are paramount, and our mission is to help clients be their most authentic selves.
Position Summary We are committed to providing thoughtful and comprehensive individual and group supervision, rooted in evidence-based practices while also exploring new clinical breakthroughs. One of our goals is to prepare therapists for their fully licensed future, cultivating their clinical voice with an emphasis on documentation and navigating the insurance landscape.
Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities
Commit to coming in person 2 days/week in office.
Conduct weekly or bi-weekly individual clinical/administrative supervision.
Attend monthly practice-wide meetings (e.g., Town Hall updates).
Attend monthly “sup-on-sup” supervision group with fellow supervisors.
Assume responsibility for counseling, motivating, and improving performance of practitioners.
Sign on supervisees' notes in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and quality of clinical documentation.
Address issues and conduct performance reviews as needed.
Support practitioners with navigating complex cases and crisis situations as needed.
In addition to supervisory duties, conduct 5 weekly sessions from one's own caseload and complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications Applicants who are newer to providing supervision are welcome and will be supported in development. Applicants who have SIFI certification and experience or training within specific populations/modalities (e.g., eating disorders, OCD, DBT, EMDR, etc.) are particularly encouraged to apply.
