Postdoctoral Research Associate I – Wyant College of Optical Sciences
Position Highlights: The Seyler Lab at the James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences, University of Arizona, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated post‑doctoral research associate to work on a project involving ultrafast optical experiments on two‑dimensional quantum magnetic devices. The candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Kyle Seyler with a team of graduate and undergraduate students to fabricate and characterize complex nanomagnetic heterostructures and explore novel light‑induced phenomena using ultrafast spectroscopy and imaging techniques. Duties & Responsibilities
Engage in experimental research focused on ultrafast phenomena in two‑dimensional quantum magnetic devices. Publish articles in peer‑reviewed journals. Present research findings at scientific conferences and meetings. Assist in supervising and mentoring students. Perform additional duties as required. Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, or a related discipline upon hire. Strong background in experimental solid‑state physics. Preferred Qualifications
Strong background in experimental nanomaterials physics, spintronics, quantum magnetism, and/or ultrafast optics. Employment Details
