Per Diem PET CT Technologist – Columbia (CNYPAI)
Location 722 W 168th St, New York, NY 10032 – NYP’s Joint Venture with ColumbiaDoctors, known as CNYPAI
Overview Combining the academic distinction of ColumbiaDoctors and the clinical resources of NewYork‑Presbyterian, Columbia/NewYork‑Presbyterian Advanced Imaging (CNYPAI) was created to expand outpatient services in radiology and imaging using MRI and PET‑CT. Utilizing cutting‑edge technology with world‑renowned experts, CNYPAI’s mission is to diagnose and treat a range of diseases and conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed, while advancing research to improve health in individuals and populations and upholding the highest patient experience standards.
Responsibilities As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist you will:
Handle, prepare, administer, and dispose of sensitive radiopharmaceuticals.
Perform quality control and follow aseptic technique standards to ensure patient and colleague safety.
Obtain and distribute medical records as needed, collaborating with leading radiology physicians to provide integrated and expert evaluation of each patient.
This is a per‑diem position – shifts will vary.
Preferred Criteria
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – MR
New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiography License with contrast and ARRT – R
Previous experience in PET/CT, PET/CT Cardiology and research
Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
IV insertion/Isotope injection
Prior experience working with GE equipment
Required Criteria
New York State Nuclear Medicine License from the Department of Health
ARRT (CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (CT) or ARRT (R) if candidate does not have ARRT (CT)
Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program or A.S. or B.S. Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
New York State Nuclear Medicine License with contrast injection
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Salary $61.60 / Hourly
