Medical Laboratory Scientist I - Clinical Toxicology
Join Quest Diagnostics as a Medical Laboratory Scientist I in Clinical Toxicology, located in Lewisville, TX, working Tuesday – Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM. This entry‑level position offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for external candidates, a pay range of $29.50+ per hour plus shift differentials of 10% for the second shift and 15% for the third shift, and eligibility for annual performance bonuses.
Department: Clinical Toxicology. This role requires adherence to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and laboratory safety guidelines. Shift differential details will be provided if an offer is extended.

Responsibilities
Follow the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
Maintain records demonstrating that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
Review and release test results.
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
Follow the laboratory’s established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s acceptable levels of performance.
Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correct the problems encountered or immediately notify the senior technologist or supervisor.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry strongly preferred.
Transcripts will be requested for review throughout the consideration process.
Work Experience
1 year clinical experience (high‑complexity testing) preferred.
Experience with LC‑MS or ICP‑MS strongly preferred.
Physical And Mental Requirements
Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds; assistance required for objects over 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods.
Frequent walking and standing.
Use of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments requiring significant manual dexterity.
