Qualifications & Details:
Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/RN
A caring & loving personality and demeanor
Leadership and mentorship skills
The ability to work your scheduled shift
The ability to read, write & speak English
Responsibilities:
Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents and ensuring that all resident rights are protected.
Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
Checking all residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is properly administered and evaluating their physical and emotional status.
Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
Implementing recommended changes directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nursing.
Administering professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressing changes, colostomy and drainage bag management, taking blood, sputum and urine specimens, etc.
Completing all required record‑keeping forms/charts upon admission, discharge, transfer, etc.
Giving and receiving nursing reports during shift changes.
Investigating complaints and grievances and reporting to RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
Presenting a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
Adhering to our policies and standards.
