Description
1st shift. 8‑hour shift starts 9 am‑11 am.
Overtime Work: Not required, but may be necessary occasionally to ensure timely prescription release.
Weekend and Holiday Work: Required to work every other weekend and some holidays.
Interview Process
Format: In‑person at the pharmacy.
Rounds: Single round.
Video/Phone: Not applicable.
Technicality: Informal; includes a tour and explanation of duties.

In‑pharmacy, supporting floor operations.
Ideal Candidate Background Prior experience in a pharmacy setting (retail or long‑term care preferred).
Team Composition Collaborative team environment with pharmacists, technicians, and clerks working together to ensure timely prescription fulfillment.
Position Title Pharmacy Floor Technician
Responsibilities
Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume times.
Packages materials and products manually.
Pull/pick medications from shelving and other storage areas (prepack racks).
Applies labels to blister cards and then scans product for accuracy check.
Alerts pharmacist of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.
Mantains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies needed.
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA.
Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected.
Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work at a moderate speed.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Possess and maintain a Clear and Active MD Pharmacy Technician License issued by MD Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous pharmacy technician experience.
Physical Demands May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day; may sit or stand 7‑10 hours per day. Extended hours may be required as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment is required. May need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Visual abilities include close vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. These work environment characteristics are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this role.
