Position Overview The Dialysis Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional care and assessment for dialysis patients in accordance with standard regulations. Duties include conducting thorough nutrition assessments, reviewing patient weight and lab results, and making dietary and medication recommendations to the Dialysis Nurse‑RN and Dialysis Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive Nutrition/Dietitian assessment per standard regulations within the dialysis EHR system for all dialysis patients.
Complete monthly report cards and conduct patient education as required by the report card.
Review patient labs and provide recommendations to the Dialysis Nurse‑RN and Dialysis Manager.
Participate in in‑person care plan meetings and identify resources for patients’ meal planning.
Work with health‑center dietitian for patient interventions.
Review with the nephrology labs that have to be re‑drawn mid‑month and make appropriate recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
Active Registered Dietitian License in the state of practice.
0‑1 years of relevant experience.
Location US-IN-Indianapolis – Arlington Dialysis, 1635 N Arlington Ave, Indianapolis, IN.
