Job Summary And Responsibilities As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision‑making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

Responsibilities

Uses two patient identifiers

Compares doctor’s order to requisition for accuracy

Performs the correct exam

Includes all anatomy required to produce an adequate exam.

Practices safe use of Cidex or Trophon when cleaning probes.

Routinely demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload.

Required Job Requirements

Graduate of accredited school of Ultrasound, upon hire

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN, within 12 months

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sono, within 12 months

Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

1 to 3 years of experience as a staff US technologist

Pay Range $27.35 - $38.26 /hour
