VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post‑access support services including declotting, line removal, port access, and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also offers continuing education, precepting, and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.

Job Description As an IV Specialist, you will collaborate with our customers’ clinical teams to resolve IV placement issues and support physicians’ treatment objectives. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting, depending on each referral, which offers exposure to diverse protocols and patient challenges. This is a PRN posting that requires a minimum of 10 cases per month.
Key Responsibilities
Place peripheral IVs
Perform declotting of PICCs and CVCs
Troubleshoot vascular access devices
Provide PICC/Midline care
Administer a wide range of infusion therapies for patients
Troubleshoot IV pumps
Educate nursing staff on PICC line and IV access device care and use
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with an active license
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in acute care (preferred)
Ultrasound guided PIV experience (preferred)
Currently placing PIV lines multiple times a day
Current CPR certification
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Smartphone ownership
Ability to work independently
Willingness to travel to customer facilities and meet scheduling requirements, including weekends and holiday rotation
Passion for vascular access
Compensation Hourly Pay Range: $50 USD – $60 USD (based on candidate experience and certifications).
