Dental Hygienist (1–2 days per week) – New Virtua Camden Dental Center
We are a busy, patient‑focused dental practice looking for a friendly and experienced Per Diem Dental Hygienist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a consistent part‑time schedule with some flexibility to pick up extra days when our full‑time hygienist is on vacation.
You'll be caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a supportive, team‑oriented environment. The Hygienist’s responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining teeth of both children and adults, exposing, processing, mounting intraoral and panoramic radiographic x‑rays, maintaining patient records, providing preventive care (sealants and fluoride treatments), nutritional counseling, sterilization and disinfection of instruments, setting up hygiene trays, and ensuring patient rooms are disinfected before and after procedures.
Position Responsibilities
Cleaning and maintaining teeth of both children and adults.
Exposing, processing, mounting intraoral and panoramic dental radiographic x‑rays.
Maintaining dental records of patients.
Providing preventive care, including sealants and fluoride treatments, as well as nutritional counseling.
Sterilization and disinfection of dental instruments.
Setting up hygiene trays for dental hygiene procedures.
Setting up and disinfecting the dental patient rooms before and after patient procedures.
Position Qualifications
1–3 plus years of experience preferred.
Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program with an AAS or BS degree required.
Current registration for Dental Hygienist credentials required.
