Vascular Sonographer, Reg. Fulltime** with Call - $15,000 sign on bonus available**
Job Summary
A Registered Vascular Sonographer is responsible for performing non‑invasive vascular procedures, preparing the daily workload, providing excellent communication, using computers, adhering to established lab protocols, participating in ongoing quality‑assurance and research projects, and covering rolling after‑hours emergency calls.

Upper and Lower Extremity Vein Mapping
Abdominal Aorto‑iliac Duplex
Mesenteric Duplex
Renal Duplex
Transcranial Doppler (non‑imaging)
Education
Required: Graduate of a CAAHEP or CMA‑approved school of ultrasound or vascular technology education program and considered registry eligible by the ARDMS.
Preferred: Registered Vascular Technologist through the ARDMS.
Experience
Medical and/or hospital clinical experience.
Preferred: Registered Vascular Technologist with one year previous experience in a medical and/or hospital clinical setting.
Basic computer experience demonstrated by 1 to 2 years work experience or college‑level courses.
License/Certification/Registration
Required:
ARDMS Registered, RVT .
Required: BLS prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward.
Preferred: None.
Department Position Summary:
The employee must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to perform comprehensive non‑invasive cardiovascular studies for the age of patients seen in the Vascular Lab, ability to perform diagnostic procedures as ordered, assess the need for additional information, complete accurate measurements and procedure worksheets for physician interpretation, interact professionally with physicians, nursing units and patients, and continuously improve knowledge and identify patient needs based on age‑specific requirements in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
Note:
This position may involve evaluating direct supervisors by observation and skills review lab and/or self‑assessment based on objective criteria.
