As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education by providing speech and language therapy services and specialized support that helps students improve their communication and learning skills. Essential Functions

Identify students needing specialized speech or language services, instruction, curriculum, activities and classes and support them with solutions that enable them to thrive in a learning environment and achieve academic goals. Facilitate individual and/or group therapy activities using curriculum-based materials and content and provide progress reports and documentation as needed. Supervise support staff as needed and consult with fellow educators regarding accommodations, needs, instructional strategies, necessary equipment and support. Provide augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language disorders. Create a classroom and learning environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students and allows them to perform at their very best. Then celebrate them! Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth that is needed for primary school success! Explore individual needs and give side‑by‑side support to discover how each student best learns and develop personalized solutions to each students learning style and abilities. Master our proven curriculum as you implement our philosophy of education and guide the learning process and students toward the achievement of the curriculum goals. Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives. Respond to all internal and external customers, as it relates to the position, in a prompt, efficient, friendly and patient manner. Maintain courteous relationships with students, staff, parents, and community, treating all with respect. Being active in the role when lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required. Participating in events outside of normal hours. Master’s or higher degree in the field Meeting requirements provided below based on state the position is located: AZ: ADHS license and ADE PreK–12 SLP Certification. NV: NDE Endorsement for Speech and Language Impairments. TX: TDLR State License. SC: SC Department of LLR SLP License and SCDE SLP Educator Certificate The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check. Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence – SLP Hybrid Model

The model follows a four-day on campus, one day remote work schedule. Remote days must be approved by the principal in advance, are limited to non-student facing work such as report writing and compliance documentation, and must not interfere with testing, IEP meetings, or urgent student needs. As funds allow, this is a Title I federally funded position with responsibilities that align to federal requirements. The continuation of this position will be revisited annually based on funding.
