EDM Technician
SUMMARY: Proficiently produce spare parts and engineering changes for FB dies.
PAY RATE: The starting rate for our Die Shop Employees is $16 - $28 an hour based upon experience and certifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Run wire EDM, sinker EDM program and set up
Maintain proper inventory for machine spare parts
Perform preventative maintenance cleaning for machines
Maintain documentation of maintenance performed on all EDM machines
Perform machine specific cleaning procedures
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Works inside plant where there is a great deal of noise. The work may be dusty, dirty and greasy. Exposed to chemicals in coolants and handles sharp edged metal. Works on a hard surface; stands, stoops, bends and lifts heavy objects (approximately 100 lbs.). May be necessary to operate more than one machine at a time.

PERFORM BASIC PM SCHEDULES ON MACHINES Included as part of daily machine upkeep, ensuring all equipment operates within safe and efficient parameters.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EDUCATION PREFERRED:
High School diploma or GED; one (1) year machine shop certificate or equivalent experience
Ability to read a blueprint
Basic math ability
Working knowledge of metric measuring system, and experience in the use of calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges
3D CAD/CAM programming
Some technical level courses; advanced programming
Must possess greater than one (1) year of experience in machine shop and/or die making
Solidworks 3D Design
