Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Oxford, NC Agency: Magnet Medical Pay: $1,606 per week Shift: Nights – 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: January 5, 2026

About the Position Magnet Medical is seeking a qualified ER/Trauma RN for a 13‑week contract in Oxford, NC. The RN delivers critical care in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment, collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide immediate, life‑saving interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Triage and Patient Assessment

Perform initial assessments, triage based on severity, gather vital signs and history.

Emergency Care and Treatment

Administer medications, IV fluids, antibiotics, pain management, wound care, splinting, suturing, and life‑saving interventions (CPR, ACLS, trauma care).

Assist in resuscitation efforts and airway management.

Collaboration with Medical Team

Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and team members to develop patient care plans.

Assist with diagnostic testing and imaging.

Monitoring and Documentation

Continuously monitor conditions, document assessments and treatments accurately in the EHR.

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Patient and Family Communication

Provide clear explanations, emotional support, advocate for patient needs.

Infection Control and Safety

Follow infection control protocols, use PPE, maintain safe ER environment.

Crisis Management

Handle wide range of emergencies, prioritize care based on acuity.

Patient Discharge and Follow‑Up

Provide discharge instructions, educate patients on preventive measures.

Teamwork and Mentorship

Collaborate with ER staff, mentor new nurses and staff members.

Requirements ER/Trauma RN experience required. Magnet Medical values quality, care, and support for travelers.
