Dental Assistant

Brewster, New York
to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team‑based environment.
Position Overview As a
Dental Assistant , you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

Responsibilities
Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and an emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Must have at least 1 year of hands‑on experience.
Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
