Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient Orthopedic Associates (Part Time) Hartford HealthCare invites you to join our Outpatient Orthopedic Associates team as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. This part‑time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and staff in delivering high‑quality care.

Location:

25 Buckland Rd, South Windsor (10108)

Shift:

2 evening shifts to 7 pm; weekdays only (Monday‑Friday). Clinic hours: M‑TH 7 am‑7 pm; Fri 7 am‑5:30 pm.

Overview This is a 24‑hour benefits‑eligible float position that may cover multiple locations including Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Manchester, Plainville, and Rocky Hill. Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the PTA assists in performing assessments, evaluating and implementing treatment plans, and utilizing treatment skills and tools to maximize patient functional independence.

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.

Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills appropriate for the patient population.

Document treatment interventions.

Coordinate activities of rehab aides, students, and other support personnel as needed.

Communicate and document information relevant to patient care to ensure effective delivery of quality service and maximum reimbursement.

Demonstrate efficient utilization of products, supplies, equipment, and time to ensure timely completion of duties and promote smooth department operation. Meet productivity targets.

Employ established safety precautions and procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, guests, and co‑workers.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Associates degree required.

Connecticut state licensure required.
