Registered Nurse

Tampa Bay Girls Academy

in Tampa, Florida.

Tampa Bay Girls Academy - Secure is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk and max‑risk female youth aged 12‑21. These programs provide services utilizing evidence‑based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling.

What You Will Do

Work as a member of the site medical team, providing general health care for students and staff within the scope of your license.

Administer immunizations and assist with all health maintenance activities including TB screens, hepatitis B, and flu vaccines.

Educate students, staff and the community on relevant health care topics such as prevention of sports injuries, bloodborne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders.

Assist with other applicable training duties of site employees and provide individualized parenting instruction for pregnant or postpartum students.

Coordinate students for psychiatric review and execute psychiatric orders as prescribed.

Coordinate with the Clinical Director/Psychologist to meet the needs of students requiring psychiatric evaluation and medication management review.

Work with providers and community agencies to plan programs to meet students’ health care needs.

Order or direct the ordering of supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other equipment.

To Be Considered You Should Process

Bachelor’s degree in a related health care field.

Current Registered Nursing license from the state in which employed.

Minimum of two years of previous medical services administration, including experience operating and securing comprehensive health services programs.

Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees.

Must possess a current State Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years (if required to operate a company vehicle).
