About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Prime Staffing to find a qualified PICU RN in Asheville, NC. The role involves providing critical care to pediatric patients with acute and complex conditions, including the management of ventilators, IV drips, and advanced pediatric protocols. The schedule includes 12‑hour night shifts with call, weekend, and holiday rotation. Floating to other pediatric units may be expected. Compliance and onboarding typically take 4–6 weeks. A voice advantage and nurse manager interview are required. Scheduled shifts must be made up if missed.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience
Active State or Compact RN License
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
Must submit all time‑off requests with the initial application
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality PICU nursing care to pediatric patients
Manage ventilators, IV drips, and advanced pediatric protocols
Participate in night shifts, call, weekend, and holiday rotation
Float to other pediatric units as assigned
Comply with all hospital policies and regulations during compliance and onboarding
Make up scheduled shifts if missed
