Cath Lab/EP Lab Tech-I Overview Assists the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab/EP equipment and maintenance, and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab/EP equipment and its maintenance.
Administer direct and indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
Provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.
Qualifications Education:
Graduate of a RCIS program, or
Graduate from a nursing program, or
Graduate of respiratory, paramedic, imaging or exercise physiology program.
Work Experience:
No experience required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Healthcare experience (see above) requires applicable license upon hire.
If a graduate of RCIS program, RCIS must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire.
ACLS upon hire.
