– Department of Clinical Sciences, Raleigh, NC. Temporary position in the Intracellular Pathogens Research Laboratory.
Responsibilities
Process human and animal samples for diagnostic and research purposes.
Perform molecular-based assays and extraction of blood, serum, and tissues.
Organize, store, and maintain inventory of DNA, blood, and serum samples.
Record test results accurately in the research database.
Troubleshoot and interpret results when discrepancies arise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science field (animal science, biology, microbiology, etc.).
Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
Benchtop laboratory skills: pipetting, sample processing, DNA extraction.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Computer proficiency for data entry and record keeping.
