Job Title Substitute School Nurse
Location Enfield Public Schools, Enfield, CT
Job Summary Enfield Public Schools is seeking dedicated and qualified substitute school nurses to provide nursing services to students in grades preK-12 on a per diem/as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care to students, ensuring their health and well-being.
Administer first aid and emergency care as needed.
Manage and dispense medications according to school policies.
Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health needs.
Promote a healthy and safe school environment.
Requirements
Valid Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current CPR/AED certification.
Minimum of two years of experience in acute care, emergency room (ER), or pediatric nursing.
Previous experience in school nursing or as a substitute school nurse is preferred.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines.
Strong assessment and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
Proficiency with computer programs and electronic health records.
Compensation
Daily rate of $300.
Half-day rate of $150.
$350 per day after 10 consecutive days of work.
