Responsibilities
Prepare dosage medications for dispensing into bottles/containers and unit‑dose packaging/repackaging.
Count pills/tablets.
Mix medications that need to be reconstituted with water.
Prepare oral syringes.
Compound sterile preparations.
Filing and inventory.
Medication delivery to patient care units.
Fill and replenish automated dispensing cabinets.
Collect, organize, and verify patient information.
Clerical duties: answer phones, stock shelves, collect cash, data entry.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Registered by and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
Or licensed by and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist Intern.
IV Certification preferred.
Special Requirements
CRT, Mathematics, Medical Terms, PC and Typing.
Work Schedule Weekends, holidays, and flexible.
