Job Summary:
General Surgery – PACU, RN Nurse Manager. This position may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus and/or relocation assistance.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Engage staff in decision making via shared governance processes and partner with others to promote relationship‑based care delivery systems that support patient‑centered care and service excellence; effectively provide leadership and management for a specific business/clinical unit(s). Possess and use good negotiation and mediation skills.
Serve as the unit/program chief retention and safety officer to manage talent and protect/carefully deploy human and material resources through effective use of knowledge.
Analyze and manage financial resources; use lean and other quality tools to reduce waste and improve performance of operations and clinical systems of care; integrate marketing and communication strategies to advance the service line and the organization as a whole.
Interdisciplinary Teamwork and Collaboration
Effectively communicate to diverse audiences on nursing, health‑care and organizational issues, including the ability to set standards and hold leaders and staff accountable for performance standards.
Proactively establish a healthy workplace by reducing or resolving unnecessary conflict (partnering with Human Resources when necessary) and promoting achievement of positive team dynamics.
Establish partnerships by employing strong relationship‑building skills with staff, departments and medical staff, striving to understand others (and situations) and keeping the long view in mind, using reflective practice skills to monitor self and others’ performance/interaction skills while exercising coaching and guiding skills.
Create opportunities for self and leaders/staff to grow professionally and implement a desirable workplace to recruit and retain talented leaders and staff.

Required Minimum Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Master of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)
RN – Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT – Multi‑State Compact
BLS – Basic Life Support (or ARC‑BLS, BLS‑I)
Additional License(s) and Certification(s)
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or hold a privilege to practice in Georgia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment.
Required Minimum Experience Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in nursing management.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building with a knowledge of the health‑care environment.
Leadership skills that include successful implementation and management of a change process, ability to use systems thinking, and ability to inspire and coach others to be successful.
